How do I become a VTC driver?

To become a VTC driver in France you must :

  • Have held a driving licence for more than 3 years (for more than 2 years in the case of accompanied driving);
  • To have completed the “Prevention and first aid level 1” (PSC1) course within the last 2 years;
  • Pass a medical examination;
  • Pass the VTC exam.

Once you have your VTC driver’s licence, you’ll be able to work anywhere in France, so you’ll be able to register with all the VTC driver applications you want to work with.

Unlike taxis, you can work in any town in France, so even if you live in Paris, you can do summer seasons as a VTC in Biarritz, Deauville, Cap Ferret, Arcachon, Hossegor, La Baule, Nice, Saint Tropez, Aix en Provence, etc.
